Dublin-Stephenville Sightings Investigation
|
A press conferenec will be held May 3rd, 2008, 2PM in Dublin, Texas on the final Stephenville report
On January 8th, 2008, dozens of citizens of Stephenville and Dublin, Texas saw unusual events in the skies above them.
MUFON Investigators from Texas traveled to Dublin, Texas on Saturday, January 19th to interview many of the witnesses to the event. It was truly a media circus owing to the fact that this is the most significant mass sighting since the Phoenix Lights event of 1997.
From January 8th through January 30th, 2008, The MUFON Case Management System received 154 reports from all over Texas, not just the Stephenville area. This does not include reports taken in Dublin, Texas. Many reports date back to the 70s and even the 60's. This event has prompted many to come forward without ridicule owing in part to the generally fair and balanced coverage by the national media. (see News Reports below)
This case is ongoing and will include follow-up interviews with witnesses that didn't come forward the first time. We intend to publish our results in the April issue of the MUFON Journal.

Terry Groff (Dallas)
Field Investigator
Terry wrote the Ballester-Guasp Report Evaluator for the MUFON CMS (Case Management System) and contributed code for the CMS Text Notification system.
He became an investigator for MUFON in 2004 and doubles as the webmaster for The Dallas - Fort Worth MUFON website. Visit.
From 1978 - 1981 Terry was an Expeditor for Mostek Corp. From 1983-1986 he was a Training Specialist and the Statistical Quality Control Coordinator for National Semiconductor Corp.
As a professional Musician & Composer, Terry composed the soundtrack for the independent film "Bobby Speaking" and the documentary "Le Strade Di Parma (The Streets Of Parma)". Buy Soundtrack
After becoming a member of MUFON in 1995 Gary went on to become a Field Investigator in 1996.
For the past 20 years Gary has worked as a Forensic Auditor for the HUD-OIG Office of Investigations.
His educational background is an MBA from the University of Central Oklahoma and a B.S. from the University of Kansas.
For ten years Dave was a Waco police officer serving in the uniform patrol section, and later as a detective in the drug enforcement and homicide sections. During this time he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Degree from Baylor University.
In 1977 he became the first Director of the Regional Police Academy at McLennan Community College in Waco. He served in that capacity for 28 years before his retirement.
Dave has kept his Texas Peace Officer license active and was one of the first officers in Texas to obtain his Advanced Peace Officer Certificate. He also holds an Investigative Hypnotist License from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. In 1997 he received his Master of Education Degree from the University of North Texas.
Mike is a Navy veteran living in Austin, Texas
He joined MUFON in 1996 and soon after became a trained Investigator.
In 2004, Mike was appointed MUFON State Section Director for Williamson and Travis Counties
Ken Cherry
Texas State Director
Ken is the principal owner of the Texas based securities firm Homestead Financial, Inc.
He was the Former Regional V.P. of a major N.Y. Stock Exchange firm and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the UTA Business School.
A Marine Corp. vet, and a 35 year member of MENSA, he has been the MUFON Texas State Director for 12 years.
Paula is a trained investigator that came to Texas from MUFON's California chapter. She is listed in the Manchester Who's Who Registry of Executives and Professionals 2006-2007.
